“MY THOUGHTS ON SUCCESS” – MR. ’ROTIMI ODEJAYI.

“MY THOUGHTS ON SUCCESS” – MR. ’ROTIMI ODEJAYI.

My thought is me: that is why I can't stop. I exist by what I think...and I can't prevent myself from thinking” - Jean-Paul Sartre.

Thought, the past tense and past participle of the verb word “think”, is of great essence to man’s existence. Thought refers to any mental or intellectual activity involving an individual's subjective consciousness. It can refer to the act of thinking, the resulting ideas or arrangements of ideas. I have at one time or the other succeeded, hence my decision to share with you my thoughts on the subject of success. In the real sense of it, what is the meaning of success?
Success is a very common term especially among the youth. It is generally believed that failure is an orphan, while success is the celebrated new-baby of everyone. In the game of life, either success or failure is up for a man to grab. Success is a gem that captures the aspirations of everybody; it is always celebrated by all men. The word “Success” means – The achievement of something desired, planned or attempted: some attributed their success in business to Hard-work. Success may refer to: a level of a social status, achievement of an objective (goal) and the opposite of failure. The truth is that good success is the desire of God for his children; it’s always laziness or ignorance of our rights that short-changes the believer from attaining their set-goals for success. I am sure success cannot fail, and it’s attained only on merits; while success cannot be a coincidence, yet it has no shortcut. The word ‘success’ is understood by writing it across-vertically via the seven letters that makes the word. Success (in the present continuous tense) is
                                                            S – Seceding from laziness.
                                                            U – Underscoring diligence.
C – Concentrating on the Majors.
C – Connected to fulfilling purpose.
E – Encouraging others to excel
                                                            S – Self-denial and personal reading.
                                                            S – Synonymous with Reading.
From my own experience in the academic facet of life, I think success becomes your lots only when you systematize your work and organize your life via a time-table. Very synonymous with last success is reading. The reason is because in books lies the soul of the whole past, and life transforming ideas have always come to me through reading books. You cannot separate a successful life from a personal life of self-development; wherein you have so worked on yourself that you become essential commodity for all men. I mean that you work extensively on yourself such that people cannot do without you. It must be noted that every successful ventures has a price to pay.

Conclusively, the die is cast as I cannot fail, because I am resolutely paying my price for success. My mind is telling me I can succeed, because I am what I am thinking. Virgil said “We cannot do everything, yet we can think. This success encourages: they can because they think they can.” You can succeed when you know what exactly you want, and you know how to get what you desire. This desire is activated through sacrifice, and this sacrifice is what results in success. The way by which you can manifest this is simply by "Stop Wishing, Start Working" because man's action speaks louder than his voice.
