The
Digital Age (also known as the Information Age, Computer Age or New Media Age) is a
period in human history
characterized by the shift from traditional industry that the industrial
revolution brought through industrialization, to an economy based on
information computerization. The onset of the Information Age is associated
with the Digital
Revolution, just as the Industrial
Revolution marked the onset of the Industrial Age. Digital age refers
to the present time use of machines and computers to present information in
digital format. Some of the commonly used digital forms are the use of
Information technology and the Internet. Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) is already a part of our everyday lives. The Internet, a major
part of the Modern Media Technology Revolution is becoming increasingly popular
and widespread. It has achieved penetration of massive population worldwide
than any other technology before it. As we watched the trend goes, all forms of
communication and information management tools are becoming digital, with the
potential for merging and are having massive influence on our lives now and in
the future. We now have smaller and cheaper
computers, digital equipment (digital camera, digital video recorder e.t.c)
also becoming the other of the day because they offer faster and more quality
alternatives than their analog counterpart.
´ The
Digital Era is the 21st century that we live, wherein almost
everything is executed with the aid of computers cum ICT gadgets. For example,
in 2015, Nigeria initiated the Computer Based Test for conducting Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME). With this system of Examination conducts, candidates’
access results after six hours of submission. To use ICT is very simple if you
are well proficient with the use of these technologies/gadgets. The beauty of
these technologies is the ability of these innovations to navigate boundaries
and to proffer solutions real time to (our need or) myriad of tasks.
It
is expedient that the Youth be up and doing to undertake trainings, retrain and
untrain themselves in the evolving fields of ICT/computing. The reason is simply
because; a man is as good as what you know. The inspiration I wrote in the book
entitled DARE TO PONDER is your learning
power today will determine your earning power tomorrow. It is how well you are
proficient in your chosen career today that will dictate your value in the
labour market tomorrow. It is simple, learn Today so as to lead Tomorrow. That
is why it is believed that knowledge is power. You become empowered to excel in
life when you have cognitive knowledge about a relevant field of human
endeavour. The 2016 Summer school, as organized by RAREGEM I.T. CONSULTS
INTERNATIONAL is a viable option for you to avail yourself the opportunities
therein. The 2015 maiden edition was very successful, hence the motivation to
give the 2016 edition a shot with optimism of a successful Computer Training
Initiative. Even Olayinka Samuel and Ibukun Olaoluwa have signified their
intentions to be at the upcoming 2016 edition to share their own testimonies to
the credence of RAREGEM’s abilities to deliver all their promises to the
students.
´ The
Organisation is trying to promote Computing knowledge among Youths in Oyo state
through organising training centres across three Batch training. For a period
of three hours for one day’s Lecture, The 9am Batch holds at Monatan, While The
12pm Batch holds at Tender College, Babanla and Th 4pm Batch holds at our Iwo

We are committed to delivering hands-on
practical Computer training for every student. The Training will be climaxed
with every Participant undertaking a Project in consonance with their Area of
Interest. Each of the participants will be allocated to one lecturer for
supervision of the Project assigned for them. This will further demystify the
understanding of the Student to the Course learnt thus far. And we are glad to
inform you that all trainings will be done on Laptops, with us having one laptop
assigned to each Student. This is a lifetime opportunity to improve your worth
and up your value as a person. It is better to empty one’s purse into the head
in the form of knowledge acquisition. Just as what will determine your worth in
the labour market is the value you can give and what you can do proficiently.
